The Battery Tender® 50 AMP solar panel controller delivers efficient PWM charging to increase battery life and improve performance. Compact and easy to install, this advanced charge controller is designed for remote power solar applications and can be used with 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V lead-acid and AGM batteries and 12V lithium batteries. Once hooked up, the controller will automatically detect the voltage of the battery and then begin regulating the charge from the connected solar panel.                  

- Initialization: determining correct connection, battery voltage and charge level
- Low Voltage Protection: when the battery drops below the selected voltage, the output load will turn off and the battery will recharge (default 10V)
- Low Voltage Recovery Re-Engage: when the battery has charged back up to the selected voltage, the output load will turn on (default 12.5V)

Load timing settings can trigger the unit to push power to connected outputs at specific times, for specific intervals, or when voltage drops to the unit from the solar panel (when the sun sets, or during cloud cover) - especially useful for outdoor lighting. 

Display to monitor battery charge, confirm correct connections, adjust setting and voltage preferences, and set timers. Dual USB outputs support mobile device charging.

Safety features protect the battery from faults such as reverse connection, load overcurrent, short circuit, under-voltage, and temperature irregularities.
